Numerical Simulations on the Extinguishing Effect of Water Mist System with Different Parameters of Longitudinal Ventilation in Curve Tunnel Fire

Once a fire occurs in long curve tunnel, the mixing of hot smoke flow and cold air leads to turbulence due curvature’s impact. This phenomenon results greater thermal pressure difference at source substantially temperature field than straight tunnel. The longitudinal flowing along wall loses lot velocity tunnel massive friction. Under same extinguishing conditions, have different requirements for ventilation. Factors such as curvature, ventilation operation time, were all evaluated order investigate influence parameters on effect water mist coupling with is studied by numerical simulation, recommended values time participation system are given. show that (1) decreases increase curvature under (2) prevention best when used curved should be 2 m/s.
